APARTMENT?

When can I move into my apartment?
You can move into the apartment on the date that you and the owner agree to. You should get the owner to put in writing the date you can move into the apartment. You should also get receipts for any money you pay to the landlord before moving into the apartment.
What happens if the apartment is not ready on the agreed date and I am prevented from moving in?
The owner is responsible. If the two of you cannot come to some agreement about when you can move in, you should demand all of your money back.
What can I do if the owner refuses to give me my money?
You can file a claim against the owner in Small Claims Court. If you have questions about Small Claims Court, call the Housing Unit of Neighborhood Legal Services.
